Amy Wilson Hardy is an English rugby player. She fell in love with rugby at the age of 11 and her passion for the game fuelled her to reach the Rio Olympic Games, Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and World Cup in 7s and a World Cup in 15s.

She currently plays for the English Premiership side Wasps. She loves training hard and thrives off the feeling you get after you have given everything you have. Outside of rugby and training she has two beautiful dogs, Rio and Hugo. She loves cooking, being outside and walking the dogs but also loves a lazy evening snuggled up on the sofa.

MEET GREG

Greg comes from a family of coaches and teachers. Therefore it comes as no surprise that he has grown up with a natural love for exercise and a respect for how a good coach or teacher can change lives. Having played provincial rugby and waterpolo for 5 years and coached for over 15 years, he knows the importance of an ‘all round’ approach to health – emphasizing the mental, physical and emotional.

In 2012, his own sporting career hit a major stumbling block when he had to undergo surgery. The difficult recovery process taught him patience, resilience and how important it is to listen to your body. It was during this time that Greg made the decision to set the career goal to commit to his love for health, exercise and people.

Greg has always had a huge passion for helping others reach their goals and their full potential. As such, Greg combines a nurturing, empathetic approach with huge enthusiasm and motivation.

MEET EDGAR

As an elite South African powerlifter, Coach Edgar has a passion for strength and conditioning. This passion and experience, coupled with his background in biokinetics and Masters in Human Movement Science from Nelson Mandela University, has allowed him to train a vast array of people from different walks of life towards the goal of becoming their strongest selves, both physically and mentally.

Coach Edgar believes that everyone should have the opportunity to see and experience the beauty and power that their bodies are capable of achieving. Fitness is for everyone who is willing to work at it. It is what we were designed to do.

With his happy and enthusiastic personality, Coach Edgar is always excited to meet new people and form strong bonds with open and honest conversations to not only to understand the “what” but also the “why” of their goals, dreams and aspirations.

MEET JOHNO

International sports conditioning specialist and performance coach, a powerhouse of positivity and endless energy, especially when it comes to health and fitness.

Johno’s passion for fitness began in his school days, when he discovered the power that lay in strapping on a pair of running shoes and putting in the consistent effort to transform himself from an unfit kid into a successful sportsman.

Johno has worked with South Africa’s top national sports teams, helping athletes to rehabilitate, transform and prepare themselves for significant sporting career milestones. It is through JEFF (Johno’s E-Fitness Faculty) that he has brought his true passion to life: helping everyday people to change themselves for the better, forever.

MEET KATE

Kate is all about connecting with people on a personal level. Her purpose is to help people to find healthy tools that really work for them; building their self esteem, encouraging self-love and guiding them to be their best selves along the way.

She’s personally passionate about using fitness as a therapy – she loves being active and she believes that exercise has the potential to unlock great healing and happiness in people.

Kate’s genuine, empathetic energy makes her the perfect coach. She’s a great listener, offering her clients a safe space to be open, to unpack their life challenges and to work in real partnership with her towards their goals.

MEET ADRIAN

Adrian is a sports scientist, dietitian and performance nutritionist. He believes that nutrition can make or break your success; a well structured training plan loses its effectiveness when it doesn’t tie in with a considered nutrition plan.

He has a passion for sport, exercise and good food and helping others to appreciate these things too. He loves long distance running with a few ultra marathons under his belt. He’s a husband and dad of two, squeezing in a run wherever he can. Trail and time on the mountain makes him happy.

His purpose is to share the power of food, encourage people to appreciate what their bodies can do – and to enjoy the views along the way!

ABOUT THIS CHALLENGE

The 21-Day Spring into Summer Challenge, led by Johnon Kate and Adrian and brought to you by Cipla has been specially designed for those looking to take their fitness level up a notch! This Challenge will include focussed warm-up routines and periodised exercise sessions on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays and a day-by-day eating plan to optimise your nutrition for fitness. Dominique is a Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor from Stellenbosch who is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Women’s Health.

As an avid adventurer and triathlete living in the heart of mountain bike mecca, you can find Dominique either navigating the mountains of Jonkershoek or hitting the pool for a few laps.  

From a young age, Dominique has always been naturally competitive with interests in sport and overall well-being. She enjoys pushing herself out of her comfort zone and has completed endurance events such as the coronation double century 200km road race and her first ultra-tri, the Knysna Extreme Triathlon 0.5.  

Dominique’s career is Physiotherapy reflects both her drive and passion for helping others improve their own health. You will always catch Dominique with a smile on her face and a positive attitude in the face of all challenges.

What happens to my existing JEFF subscription?

All customers who have 1-on-1 coaching support are automatically on JEFF Club, because we want you to have the best of JEFF. You keep your coach and their personalised guidance and support that you know and love.

All regular Challenge participants can join JEFF Club to get access to all future Challenges at a discounted price and all past Challenges for no extra cost.

All other JEFFers wondering why they should join Club should know that you get access to all the past Challenges to do anytime, previously exclusive 1-on-1 exercise blocks, and you still get access to all the live workouts, education sessions, recipes and more through a new and improved web app.

How much does JEFF Club cost? Are there any discounts for paying for longer upfront?

Club is R595 per month. If you sign up for 6 months, and pay upfront, you get a 10% discount, and if you sign up for 12 months and pay upfront, you get a 15% discount.

That means, if you sign up for 6 months, you pay R535.50 per month, totalling to R3,213. That’s an overall saving of R357!

If you sign up for 12 months, you pay R505.75 per month, totalling to R6,069. That’s an overall saving of R1,071!

Is there a Vitality discount?

Not at this time. Watch this space for more from JEFF and Vitality soon.

Can I still earn my Vitality points?

Yes, you will still be able to earn Vitality points for workouts as you have done so in the older app.

Can you sign up month to month, and cancel at any time?

Yes, JEFF Club is a monthly subscription product and you can cancel at any time.

What is the Founder Status you are offering?

If you sign up for Club for 6 months or more, in addition to the discount on your membership, you’ll receive a pair of limited edition JEFF Club Founder socks! But hurry, because it is limited to the first 300 people!

If you are a customer with 1-on-1 coaching support, you can claim your Club Founder socks by simply telling your coach that you are committed for a further 3 months.

Founder socks are a way to reward and thank customers who choose to commit to the future of JEFF!

What are the “community” and “group features” mentioned as a part of Club?

With JEFF Club’s new Web App, you’ll see that “groups” where you can interact with and support other JEFFers who are on the same program, are built right into the web app. You will continue to see more and more features in our app all the way through 2022. Watch this space!

For launch, you will be supported through groups in WhatsApp and Facebook when participating in new challenges and in Facebook groups for past challenges, in addition to the “groups” functionality you’ll see built right into the web app.

How do I get more information about what JEFF Club is about? 

You can go to https://www.jeff.fitness/pages/jeff-club to find out more and sign up.

I’ve heard there is a new JEFF Web App, how do I get access to that?

Anyone who has an existing JEFF profile can go to club.jeff.fitness and log in with your existing login details. You’ll be on the new web app interface and all your information will still be there.

Can I stay on the old JEFF Web App?

For now, yes, you can continue to log into app.jeff.fitness and use the old web app. The old web app is still available to you even after you log into club.jeff.fitness and you can use both side by side until you’re comfortable to move over completely to the new experience. Everything in the old app is included in the new app and more. Over time we will retire the old web app.

I’m a JEFF Life customer, what happens to my Life subscription now that Club has launched?

If you are on JEFF Life, everything stays the same. You still have access to all live workouts via our new and improved web app, and all the other web app features you have come to know and love. If you want to get access to all our past Challenges, new Challenges, exercise programs previously only available to customers with 1-on-1 coaching support, seasonal menus and group support — sign up for Club to get all this and more. Go to club.jeff.fitness and log in with your existing login details. Browse around, choose an exercise program, and you’ll be prompted to sign up for Club.

If I sign up for Club, what happens to my Life subscription?

You need to request a cancellation of your current subscription before signing up for Club. Here is the link to cancel your JEFF Life subscription. You can then sign up for JEFF Club and will be charged for JEFF Club from that day onwards.

You can rejoin Life by cancelling your Club subscription and signing up for Life again.

If I don’t sign up for Club, what happens to my Life subscription? Can I remain on it forever? I don’t want to pay more than R200 per month.

JEFF Life continues as a membership option - nothing changes! Our intention is to continue with live daily workouts and other JEFF Life features as a core part of the JEFF experience for as long as we exist. Our launch of JEFF Club is to offer those who want more programming, support and tech features access to it all.

For a year now you’ve been talking about JEFF Life. Now you’re talking about JEFF Club. What’s happening?

JEFF is just 3 years old. We’ve been experimenting with different products to see what combination of programs and support best serves our customers. We’ve realised that our live workouts in JEFF Life do a great job of supporting our customers on their fitness journey, and that they want and need a little more support to really achieve their goals. This is the reason we are moving to JEFF Club — to provide more programming and more support to help our customers thrive. We want to help you stay fit and healthy forever, and this is our next step in that journey. With the launch of Club, we are moving our primary focus at JEFF to supporting customers through our Club membership.

I have an existing Jeff Life Voucher that I would like to redeem, can I still sign up for Jeff Life using this voucher?

Yes, you can redeem this voucher against a JEFF Life purchase, or you can contact our Operations Team if you would like to put your voucher value towards a JEFF Club purchase instead.

I want to do one of your new Challenges. How do I sign up?

You can join a new Challenge in two ways. Either by going to club.jeff.fitness and logging in with your existing login details, browsing to the Challenge you want to do, and signing up from within the web app. Or, by going to jeff.fitness to learn more about the new Challenges, and following up the sign up process from there.

You’ll need a Club membership to sign up for any new Challenge. You’ll be prompted to join Club in the process of signing up for a new Challenge if you’re not on Club already.

Do I need to be a Club member to do a new Challenge?

Yes, you need to have an active Club membership for the duration of the Challenge. A Club membership costs R595 per month and you can cancel at any time. If you‘re not a Club member, you’ll be prompted to join Club when signing up for the new Challenge.

Wait, so you mean on JEFF Club I can get access to all past Challenges on demand at no extra cost?

Yes, that’s correct. You’ll now be able to catch up or relive the excitement of past Challenges whenever you want, on your own schedule! You’ve asked and we’ve listened. Accessing past Challenge content has been a frequent request. Please note, the experience is different to a new Challenge. You’ll have access to a Facebook group of fellow participants. However, you won’t have managed WhatsApp accountability groups or regular support and guidance from the Challenge lead. You can still form your own accountability groups if you join past Challenges together. If you want the freshest, most engaging experience, join one of our new Challenges that happen every month.

What is the difference between a past Challenge and a new Challenge?

Challenges include a multi-day exercise and nutrition program together with support from a lead instructor and accountability groups.

We launch 2 to 3 new Challenges every month. These monthly Challenges are led and supported by our instructors every day and include 7-person accountability groups in WhatsApp. New Challenges are charged for at a small once-off fee on top of a monthly Club membership.

Once a new Challenge is finished, it becomes a past Challenge. The workout videos and nutrition plans from past Challenges are available to all Club members at no extra fee. While there are no managed WhatsApp accountability groups, participants on old Challenges can easily form their own accountability groups for added support.

With Club, are Challenges less expensive than they used to be?

Yes, Club makes Challenges more affordable. The total cost of any Challenge on Club is less expensive than the total cost a Challenge used to be on JEFF Life.

It is important to note that Club is a R595 recurring subscription.

Each month, we add new exercise programs and seasonal menus, you get full access to all our past Challenges, courses, awesome group functionality and rewards and so much more. You’ll want to stay forever, but you can cancel anytime.

I’m a 1-on-1 customer. What does JEFF Club mean for me?

As a customer with 1-on-1 coaching support, you get more value for your existing subscription. Club is built right into your 1-on-1 personal coaching and there is no impact on your current monthly subscription.

Club means you can now choose from more exercise programs, including doing any past Challenge at no extra cost. Plus, you can now do any new Challenge for a small extra charge.

You have access to new seasonal menus and recipes. You have access to all courses. And so much more! All with the ongoing support of your 1-on-1 personal coach.

As a 1-on-1 customer, how do I get access to Club?

You get automatic access to Club. Simply go to club.jeff.fitness and log in with your existing login details. You’ll see the new Club interface and your current exercise program and nutrition plan. Going forward, you’ll be able to choose from any of the new or old exercise programs and Challenges. You will also have access to all courses, seasonal menus, groups and more!

I have just got used to the JEFF Web App. Can I rather stay on the old web app and not move over to Club? I don’t want more features.

Yes, for now we will support both the old and the new web app. Log into either one at any time.

Do I need new login details to get access to JEFF Club?

No. You’ll access your existing JEFF profile and all your past data with the same email and password.

Will I see my previous dots and activity on this new web app?

Yes. All your information, dots, check-ins, bookmarks and more will still be accessible right from within the new web app.

As a 1-on-1 client, can I still access my existing exercise program?

Yes. If you’d prefer, you can choose to continue working with the old web app on app.jeff.fitness with your current login details. Nothing has changed here!

However, we encourage you to explore club.jeff.fitness because you’ll see your current exercise program and nutrition program there too!

In addition, you’ll see all the exciting options you now have for your exercise and nutrition programs. If you are on a gym-based or running program, you’ll need to remain on the existing web app until you are ready to move onto another block as these programs aren’t supported in the new web app. Speak to your coach for more information on moving over to the new web app sooner.

As a 1-on-1 client, does my nutrition plan stay the same?

Your nutrition plan is refreshed to match an updated portion and meal size system, giving your greater tools and flexibility to work toward your goals with your coach. And in addition to your nutrition plan, you can now access menus tailored to match your plan in Club. You’ll still be able to find your previous nutrition plan in the existing web app at app.jeff.fitness, and the refreshed plan in the new Club web app at club.jeff.fitness on the ‘Today’ page.

Can I now choose my own exercise program? What about notifying my coach?

Yes, you can use Club to choose any exercise program, past Challenge or new Challenge. We will automatically notify your coach when you choose a new program so they can discuss your choice and plan your next few weeks. You’ll be able to collaborate with your coach during your progress check-ins to set up a journey of programs to support your goal.

Why should I remain with 1-on-1 coaching support if the benefits of Club are extensive? What is the main benefit to me?

The benefit of 1-on-1 remains the same, which is 1-on-1 individualised support through a coach that is an expert in guiding you to reach your goals. These goals range from getting fit, losing weight, building strength, running better, toning, recovery, and more. A coach will assist you to choose the best exercise and nutrition plan for you as an individual, hold you accountable to your plan and advise you on how to work around personal obstacles, such as injury, lack of motivation, making time for yourself in a full schedule and so much more. Our customers’ best results are almost always with an incredible 1-1 coach by their side.

Can I use my reward points to sign up for JEFF Club?

Yes, you can use reward points for discounts when signing up for JEFF Club, and Rewards points can be applied to your recurring subscription.

Can I use a voucher to sign up for JEFF Club?

Yes, you can use vouchers for discounts when signing up for JEFF Club. Should you wish to convert an existing JEFF Life voucher to a Club Voucher, you can contact our Operations Team.

MEET AMY

Outside of rugby and training she lives with her boyfriend Perrie and has two beautiful dogs, Rio and Hugo. She loves cooking, being outside and walking the dogs but also loves a lazy evening snuggled up on the sofa.

MEET DIRKIE

Hailing from Pretoria, Dirkie has always had a passion for sport and the outdoors. She lives by the mantra that one's body and mind needs to be looked after, much like one would look after anything valuable in one's life.

At the tender age of 19, after studying Sport Science at TUKS, Dirkie made her hockey debut representing SA at the 2006 Women's World cup - and has not stopped playing ever since! She went on to qualify and took part in the 2012 London Olympic games, and in her professional career of 14 years, has since represented SA in 4 World Cups and 3 Commonwealth Games. Dirkie too has both worked and played overseas in the likes of Holland, England and Belgium!

Back at home, this bush baby can't be found too far from a good ol' braai - and has a sweet spot for rusks dipped in coffee (don't we all!) She is fiercely passionate about her friends and loved ones and believes in the power of resilience - pushing through difficult circumstances that life presents in order to both learn and develop further.

"I have grown a lot in my life due to tough circumstances. However, I would not trade them for anything as I have learned invaluable lessons and come out of these challenging times a better version of myself, than when I first entered them."

He believes that nutrition can make or break your success; a well structured training plan loses its effectiveness when it doesn’t tie in with a considered nutrition plan.

He has a passion for sport, exercise and good food and helping others to appreciate these things too. He loves long distance running with a few ultra marathons under his belt. He’s a husband and dad of two, squeezing in a run wherever he can. Trail and time on the mountain makes him happy.

MEET JULS

Juls is the unofficial “mother” of JEFF, after opening up her own home to the world at the beginning of lock down. A fiercely strong wife to Johno and mother to two little girls, Hunter and Halle, Juls connects with the community in her unique and empathetic way. A qualified kettlebell instructor, makeup artist, & many years working in the pharmaceutical industry, Juls aims to share her passion for fitness, health, and a happy balanced life with everyone she meets.

ABOUT THIS CHALLENGE

The incredible Juls Meintjes is going to be leading the 21-Day Fiercely Feminine Challenge. Built on top of the exercise and eating plan in Johno’s 21-Day Fitness Challenge, Juls has designed this challenge specially for women (and men!) interested in delving deeper into women-focussed themes. Her Fiercely Feminine education series covers interviews with professionals on topics including body image, self-esteem, beauty and skincare, cosmetics, mental health, medical considerations, and more.

You will receive daily instructions and motivation from Juls and the Challenge team.

MEET RYAN & TARA

Ryan and Tara, experts in low-impact class design, have created a Core and Stability Challenge for anyone wanting to make meaningful progress to their core and stability strength in just 21 days. Your core is crucial in every movement that you perform and a solid foundation will allow you to move more effectively and efficiently whilst at the same time reducing your risk of injury. Ryan has years of experience Coaching Hockey and instructing our very own LIIT classes and Tara qualified as a Biokineticist in 2008.

Together they will guide and motivate you through this Challenge. You will need a resistance band and a small ball/pillow for this Challenge. Text

MEET KATHLEEN

Kathleen is a certified Yoga Teacher, Mental Health Advocate and Conscious Content creator. A journey largely inspired by her mother - a dancer of 30 years - Kathleen has a heart for the healing side of yoga and deeply resonates with the gratification that lies within teaching others.

Kathleen feels strongly about the importance of addressing mental health issues through movement and meditation - and uses yoga as a tool to help her clients with depression, anxiety and other illnesses.

An avid lifelong learner - Kathleen continues to participate in complementary courses and workshops to ensure that she is up to date in her practice and trade.

21-DAY ACTIVITY PLANS

Your day-by-day exercise plan will include 45-minute instructor-led sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. You will join your choice of 30-minute instructor-led sessions on Tuesdays and Saturdays. And Thursdays and Sundays are your rest/recovery days.

21-DAY EATING PLANS

You will receive a day-by-day eating plan (regular and vegetarian) with different options for breakfast, lunch and dinner along with recipes and shopping lists to make shopping and preparation a breeze.

ACCOUNTABILITY GROUPS

You and your accountability team will be part of a WhatsApp group where each day you will post a post-workout selfie, and pictures of your breakfast, lunch and dinner. You'll all help each other stay on track together!

How do I sign up for a Challenge?

Select your Challenge above.

Complete the sign up form. If you are a JEFF Life member, you will be automatically directed to checkout.

If you are not a JEFF Life member, you will need to purchase your membership by clicking here and then come back to this page to purchase your Challenge.

Once you have purchased your Challenge, you need to check your emails. You will receive a detailed email wherein you will be told exactly how to select your Challenge in the JEFF Web App.

How long do I have to sign up for the Challenge?

You have until Thursday the 4th of March at 3pm to sign up. No late sign ups will be accepted so be sure to register before then!

If I am currently doing a Challenge, can I sign up for this round?

Yes, you can sign up for one of the new challenges. Please note that it will be a fast transition with your start day for the March challenges being the day after you end your February one.

Do I need any equipment for any of the Challenges?

All challenges are designed to be done from the comfort of your home. You will need to make a small space in your house or outside area to complete the daily exercise sessions. For a few of the challenges, additional equipment is required as listed above under the "About This Challenge" section for each challenge. The challenge workouts will include alternative exercises without any equipment except for the Strength and Core & Stability Challenges where the equipment is required.

What will I be expected to eat during the 21 days?

You will follow a daily meal plan for breakfast, lunch and dinner. While we encourage you to eat in strict accordance with this daily meal plan, your nutritional guide will give you several options for breakfast, lunch and dinner that you may use to swap out meals at any time. We will also give you recipes for the meals and a weekly shopping list to make it easy for you to follow the meal plan. If you are doing the Flow & Meditation Challenge, you will not have a meal plan.

Will I get Coach support and advice in these Challenges?

Each challenge lead will be guiding you through your challenge. Follow the plan that has been given to you with space for alternatives. For extra daily support and nutritional advice, you can consider our 1-on-1 Program.

What is this 5-person accountability group about?

Sticking to any plan can be tough. At JEFF, we know how important support and community is to helping you achieve those hard to reach goals.

You will be part of a 5-person accountability WhatsApp group. Either you will be allocated to one or you will pre-select your group by registering for the challenge together with a group of 5 people you already know.

Each day you will post a post-workout selfie to this group, as well as pictures of your breakfast, lunch and dinner meals. That’s it! And everyone will do this to the group to keep each other motivated and accountable to nailing the challenge requirements each and every day.

I am on the 1-on-1 Program. Can I do the Challenges?

Our industry-leading 1-on-1 Program and our 21-day Challenges are very different fitness experiences. If you are on the 1-on-1 Program you will be working with your coach over several months in an intimate 1-on-1 setting to make systemic changes to your exercise and eating that will set you up with healthy fitness habits for life. We highly recommend sticking to your 1-on-1 coaching plan and consider joining a challenge once you have completed your work with your coach. Once you have achieved your goals with your coach, we would recommend joining a Challenge to make progress towards another fitness goal you may have.

Do I need to be a JEFF Life member to join the Challenges?

Yes, you need to have an active JEFF Life subscription. Please note that subscriptions cost just R200pm (R150pm if you are on Vitality) and can be cancelled at any time. Sign up here.

What happens if I fall ill or cannot continue the Challenge?

When completing the exercises in each challenge, listen to your body and be careful. If you are not comfortable with the exercise use one of the alternative exercises provided.

If you do get injured during the challenge, or cannot complete the challenge due to circumstances out of your control, please reach out to our team at jeff.challenges@fitnessfaculty.club and we can advise you on the next steps forward.
