Virtual Workshops & Classes

You will be guided through each workshop by our full team of wellness practitioners as you carve out a powerful retreat-style experience from the comfort of your own home. Merged with a deep connection with your facilitator and your retreat community, you will walk away with the insights, tools and techniques to live an abundant life beyond this online experience.

 

Led by a team of experts

This Re-Treat has been designed by Kathleen Booyse and will be co-facilitated by Dr Anesu Mbizvo, Yoga teacher, business owner and TV personality. You'll also receive nutritious and delicious recipes from Dr Toni Goldswain, our nutritionist at JEFF. Liz Naude, seasoned coach and instructor will also lead you through workshops on self-love, self-worth, positive self-talk and body positivity. Morgan De Klerk, former CFO of multimillion dollar companies, will lead you on an exciting workshop on the topic of mastering your finances using an abundance mindset.

FRIDAY | 1 OCTOBER

 

19:00 - Welcome & setting your intentions

Settle into your space that you have created. We will set our intentions for the retreat. We'll introduce the guest speakers and run through the program.

19:15 - Meet your Re-treat peers

Break out into smaller focused groups where we will do some group work with the use of your retreat guide.

19:45 - Relax and reset with Yoga Nidra with Kathleen 

Experience a Yoga Nidra class with Kathleen. Yoga Nidra is a combination of sleep and meditation with added potency to energize our system. Sleep and deep rest revitalizes our whole body and refreshes our mind.

 

SATURDAY | 2 OCTOBER

 

07:00 - Wake up tea and chat

Arrive with Moon Milk you've prepped using the recipe found in your guide sent to you before arrival.

07:15 - Morning Yoga stretch for digestion using Yoga Asana with Kathleen

Yoga Asana couples exercises with rhythmic breathing which becomes the perfect stimulus for our digestive system. Breathing helps to cleanse the body of toxic materials formed due to wrong diet, unhealthy lifestyle & accumulated stresses. By supporting our digestive system we create body balance and longevity, rejuvenating our whole system.

08:15 - Breakfast group discussions 

Grab breakfast (find the overnight oats recipe in your guide and prep this before hand) and come back to the breakout room to discuss the Yoga session and ask questions.

08:45 - Abundance Mindset Workshop with Morgan from Master Your Finances

As a business owner, mother of 2 and a wife, Morgan is very familiar with the financial constraints that come with trying to make ends meet in today’s day and age, especially amidst a pandemic.

Financial stress is one of the biggest contributors to our mental health. Morgan is an accountant and money coach passionate about helping individuals manage their money and lead them to the financial freedom that brings.

With two BBA degrees in Accounting and International Business summa cum laude. She has been an accountant and CFO of multi-million dollar companies around the world and now spends her life teaching individuals on how to improve their money habits.

09:45 - Lymph & Breath work with Kathleen

In these 15 minutes we will use breath and movement to encourage the lymph to flow through the body and get our energy levels up! With some incredible sessions ahead of us, use these 15 minutes to integrate the morning’s sessions and prepare for your next workshop.

10:00 - Body Kindness Workshop with Liz the Self-Care Coach

Gain knowledge and techniques that will improve your mental health and self-esteem and help you find balance.

11:15 - Refresher break

Get outside, stretch or go for a quick walk.

11:30 - Ritual Food & Drink Workshop with Dr Toni Goldswain

Dr Toni will lead you through a 30 min demo - followed by breakout rooms where you will cook together in your groups. Toni will pop into different groups as you are cooking.

12:30 - Lunch Break

Take this time to digest what you've learned and nourish your body with something delicious.

13:30 - Small Changes That Make a Big Difference Workshop and breakouts with Kathleen

Self care comes in many forms and during this workshop we will explore how we can weave self-care in to our lives through daily ritual as well as create time for ourselves. When we priorities our values and understand compromise, we can find balance within ourselves, our families and our homes.

14:30 - Breath work & Meditation with Kathleen

In this workshop we will explore breathing techniques that stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system bringing us back into our calm and healing state. We will use our meditation to harness and integrate the knowledge we have absorbed over the course of this retreat.

15:00 - Q&A and closing

Here we will have time to answer any specific questions that you may have.

Kathleen Booyse

Retreat Facilitator

Biography

Kathleen is a certified Yoga Teacher, Mental Health Advocate and Conscious Content creator. A journey largely inspired by her mother - a dancer of 30 years - Kathleen has a heart for the healing side of yoga and deeply resonates with the gratification that lies within teaching others.

Kathleen feels strongly about the importance of addressing mental health issues through movement and meditation - and uses yoga as a tool to help her clients with depression, anxiety and other illnesses.

An avid lifelong learner - Kathleen continues to participate in complementary courses and workshops to ensure that she is up to date in her practice and trade.

Dr Anesu Mbizvo

Yoga Teacher & Entrepreneur

Biography

Dr Anesu Mbizvo is an adventurous, passionate and driven 29 year old young woman and medical doctor currently working as a yoga teacher and yoga studio owner in Johannesburg South Africa. She is a 700hr qualified yoga teacher who has completed a 200hr vinyasa based yoga teacher training as well as a 500hr hatha, ayurveda and yoga therapy based teacher training, both with Yoga Alliance registered yoga studios. Anesu has a wealth of yoga teaching experience and has been teaching vinyasa, hatha, meditation and yin yoga for roughly 6 years.

When it comes to yoga, Anesu’s main emphasis in every class is self-acceptance - she structures her classes and teachings around ensuring that each and every student learns to accept themselves and their body fully, aiming to enable students to see themselves in their true image - perfect, whole and complete.

Biography

Coach Liz is a seasoned coach and instructor here at JEFF. She is a certified Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor with a passion for facilitating healthy, sustainable life changes.

She is the Self-Care Coach; believing that embarking on a passage to a healthier mindset should be the first step in our health journeys. Self-love, self-worth, positive self-talk and body positivity are key elements in her approach to achieving health goals. She believes in finding sustainability by addressing habit loops, finding a routine that fits your life and constantly working on a positive relationship with food and exercise.

A mother herself, she understand the importance of helping others find balance, supporting them to make their own health and wellbeing a priority. She endeavours to make those on their health journeys feel encouraged, valued and supported every day.

Dr Toni Goldswain

Nutritionist

Biography

Toni is an easy-going, ‘always look on the bright side’ kind of girl. She has always been drawn to human health, with a PhD degree in human physiology and industry experience in dietary supplements. Toni loves how physiology encompasses the entire being – no single body system works in isolation, which is why she understands the importance of having a solid physical, mental and nutritional foundation. Toni has a similar approach to nutrition, opting for whole foods, variation, and balance, believing we can heal our bodies from the inside, out, with proper nutrition..

Toni is a passionate foodie who loves to cook up wholesome meals and teach others to be creative in the kitchen. She is a firm believer that we should eat the colours of the rainbow at every meal to nourish and feed our physiology.
